Analyst Programmer

(Full time 5 days per week on site, Sydney, Australia)

We’re on the hunt for a dynamic Analyst Programmer who is passionate about transforming data into actionable insights and designing groundbreaking solutions.

 ABOUT THE ROLE

As Analyst Programmer at Traffyk.ai, you will have two fundamental areas of focus.

Firstly, you will play a key technical role in developing and executing the Traffyk.ai product and technology roadmap, to ensure it aligns with the company’s overall strategy to find ‘product-market-fit’ by early 2025. This role will have you collaborating with the full team to ideate, develop, and launch new products and features to meet customer needs. You will be a part of the team that analyses customer data, builds new data visualisations, implement Machine Learning models, and show trends and opportunities for growth.

Secondly, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our client-side data gathering applications aligned with the requirements of our insights product, Traffyk.ai.

You will be working closely with our data engineers to ensure that our data pipelines can be consistently delivered and extended based on analytics and reporting requirements, as driven by our Founders and CTO.

Responsibilities

Our cloud applications continuously gather, aggregate / derive, and de-personalises data from multiple internal and SaaS products, via APIs and SQL-driven queries, and pass it to our core product for analytics and insights. These applications, as deployed in a client’s cloud environment, need to follow strong product discipline: robust, secure, and version- controlled. In addition, they need to be able to easily repair and recover from hardware, software, and process failure.

  • Building and maintaining our client-side and data platform applications, deployed in Azure and AWS, with a security-first mindset.

  • Building and maintaining integration from our client-side applications to our Traffyk.ai repository.

  • Analysis, design, build, proof, deployment, and review of analytic algorithms.

  • Helping our customer success team understand employee behaviour around work communications based on Traffyk’s proprietry scores and benchmarks.

  • Building and deploying reports and dashboards following our style guide and UX/UI principles.

  • Building and executing unit, systems, and integration testing.

  • Building integration from our insights product analytics into client-side systems – email, APIs, etc.

  • Maintaining appropriate infrastructure and code documentation and version control.

  • Demonstrable expertise in building and managing modular applications in a secure, performant, and cost-effective manner.

  • Expertise in building robust data pipelines, sourced from APIs, SQL stores, flat files, etc.

  • Expertise In building and deploying analytical algorithms; picking the most appropriate algorithms for the job-in-hand

  • Strong SQL expertise In data discovery, manipulation, and templated routines

  • Applying appropriate security configuration for admin access and monitoring in client-side solutions.

  • Integration of analytics functions, e.g. sentiment analysis, into applications – both API calls and as part of a Model Ops flow.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or a closely related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role, with a record of accomplishment of delivering successful enterprise software products.

High value skills and experience:

  • Experience working with security and cloud administration practitioners

  • Building client-side support documentation Serverless computing techniques

  • Power BI or D3-based reporting and dashboarding

  • Data Lake or Snowflake data pipeline experience

  • Web app and API build experience

  • Hands-on experience with modern data and analytics tools and platforms.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

  • Experience in SaaS (Software as a Service) and product-orientated delivery is a plus.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages (such as Python, R) and experience with machine learning frameworks (like TensorFlow, PyTorch) are essential. You should be comfortable working with large datasets and have a track record of implementing models that drive significant impact.
